Our next stop was Pennsylvania. We didn't go that far on the first day. At night of our first day
of traveling to Pennsylvania. We stopped at a movie theater. We saw the movie
Sky High. It was way better than I thought it would be.
The next day we traveled
all the way to Hershey, Pennsylvania. At Hershey we stayed at Thousand Trails
which
is surrounded by cow farms. (That is how they get the milk for their milk
chocolate). It also made my dog Jake go crazy. He doesn't like cows. About 2
days after we arrived, which was also 2 days before Halloween, there was a
Halloween party. It wasn't really a party but it did have a costume contest. I
had a Darth Vader mask and Lucas was an army soldier. After that everyone went
trick-or-treating throughout the campgrounds. There were almost 250 campers
which meant a LOT of candy.
The next day we went to Hershey
Park. We had a lot of fun there. We rode 9 roller coasters, well I only rode 7
coasters but I did ride 4 other rides. My favorite ride was the
"Comet" and the "Thunder Racers" roller coasters. Both of these
rides were great. Oh and if you ride the "Wild Cat" make sure you sit
in the front. It will hurt your head if you sit in the back. I forgot to mention
this earlier, but before we went to the park we went to Hershey's Chocolate
World. There we got to take a tour of Hershey's Chocolate Factory. It wasn't the
real factory. It was just a slow ride that showed you a simulation of how their
chocolate is made. But one part of the ride has a room that smells like
chocolate. We also went to the very large gift shop witch has everything
they have made.
The next day we went to Harrisburg, the capital of Pennsylvania.
It was a small city but it was a clean one. Then the day after, we went to Philadelphia.
It was a big city in the downtown and smaller in the outer area. We saw the
Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and Thomas Jefferson's hotel room while he was
getting the Declaration of Independence ready. Then we went back to the RV.
Then on our last day here we went to Gettysburg. That was the
place were they fought in the Civil War. We even went on a watchtower. Then we
went to Boyd's bear factory. There we ate and made bear's. Then we went to the
RV for the night and then we left to go to West Virginia.
To be continued...
