I arrived into Jacksonville this morning, made my delivery, and turned in my truck at CFI's orientation location. My ride drove up from Orlando in the Jeep to pick me up. It took a while for me to transfer ALL my stuff from the truck into Jeep. You know there's just NOT a lot of room for stuff in a Jeep Wrangler! It wasn't until later when I realized that I had forgotten all my shirts in the closet. I don't think we could have fit them in the Jeep anyhow!
Finally getting a chance to do some off-roading in the Jeep as well as GeoCaching on the way home. I had planned this several days earlier and had already programmed the caches into my GPS.
We drove down I95 to St Augustine and took US207 over into Palatka. There we turned south on US19 and headed for the Ocala National Forest. We found a record (for us) 18 caches in a single day! And that wasn't bad considering the distance covered and the late start just after lunch. We also found some good Jeep trails which made for some fun 4x4 off-roading. Found some good mud puddles too!
Before we knew it, evening was approaching way too quickly and darkness was soon upon us! We continued down US19 into Umatilla to my mothers house for a quick visit and picking up our mail.
While this update had nothing to do with traveling anywhere in our motorhome, it was an adventure! And great fun too!
Thanks for stopping by and look for my next update next week! A BIG announcement coming!
