Getting the Graphics

September 25, 2005

Well this past week has been very productive. No, we still haven't closed on the house. But we have not put this delay to waste and we have actually benefited from it. Because of the extra time I was able to shop online for a bike rack and hitch to carry our 4 bikes. Shopping online we were able to save approximately $150 compared to buying them retail from the local stores. After waiting a few days for shipping, we went and picked them up from my mothers house in Umatilla. It took about an hour and a half to install lying on the ground with hand tools, but it wasn't that difficult. Now we can all ride in the Blazer and take the bikes with us!

Also this past week, I was able to choose a sign company to create some new graphics for the RV. While staying at Thousand trails in South Clermont recently, I saw a small roadside sign advertising car graphics in the parking lot of the local Wal-Mart. Now I've never called anything from these types of roadside signs, but I felt a need to call this one. As it turns out, The Original Sign Company is owned by Adam Snyder who is also a Christian. When I first called the number on the sign, I spoke with Mike and went by their shop later that day to show him my sketch. I wanted the "Indiana Jones" kinda look with my lettering and he said it wasn't a problem. After working on the design, he emailed it to me for approval. It looked great! After a few days, the vinyl graphics were ready to apply so we drove the RV over to the shop for application. As you can see from the photos, they turned out perfect. Whether you need a vinyl graphic or other sign for your business, I recommend The Original Sign Company You can find out more about The Original Sign Company on our sponsors page.

As for our location, we left Wekiva State Park on Wednesday and went down to Walt Disney's Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. The campgrounds were clean and well laid out in Disney style. But also with Disney style, comes Disney price. Because it was a little pricey, we only stayed one night. (plus it rained most of the time) Friday we decided to go back to Thousand Trails in Clermont again. The first reason because it is free camping, also because it was near the sign shop. We also plan to go to Disney World on Monday, so it is close by. We'll probably stay here until our house finally closes... whenever that may be.
